  • At Womanist Healing, we understand that anxiety and depression are among the most common mental health challenges faced by many. Our specialized groups and clinical interventions are designed to reduce symptoms and help individuals regain balance, fostering mental wellness in everyday life.

  • Africentric therapies and social work are proven to be an effective frameworks in supporting the mental health care and well-being of African, Caribbean, and Black communities. Our practice is dedicated to culturally affirming interventions that address systemic inequities and improve mental health outcomes for Black-identifed community members. We offer a range of Africentric wellness workshops, trainings, and program development services to aid organizations in their abilities to serve Black communities.

Signature Wellness Series

Fried KɔKɔɔ for the Mind and Soul™ is our signature innovative, Africentric mental health workshop series ! Designed to empower, support and uplift Black mental health and well-being, and delivered to over 500 participants globally, this series is a dynamic and highly adaptable wellness workshop series. 

Centering Black mental health, the series focuses on transforming stigma, the impact Amti-Black racism and providing practices that nurture mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being for African, Caribbean and Black-identified people. Drawing on Black joy and the rich cultural heritage of the Black diasporic experience, participants gain practical self-care tools through the unique analogy of fried plantain (KɔKɔɔ)!
